Baitussalam Calamity Relief Services
When Disaster Strikes, Humanity Must Respond
Pakistan, because of its geography and climate, stands among the most disaster-prone countries in the world. Floods, earthquakes, droughts, and storms frequently claim thousands of lives and destroy millions of homes.
In
these moments of despair, Baitussalam Welfare Trust (BWT) is among the first to
respond, providing emergency relief, food, shelter, and rehabilitation to
affected communities.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to restore hope where devastation has
struck.
Baitussalam Welfare Trust itself was born during the 2010 Pakistan floods, one of the darkest humanitarian crises in the nation’s history, and ever since, it has remained a symbol of compassion in action.
Baitussalam’s Legacy of Response and Relief
Baitussalam’s journey in disaster management began during the catastrophic 2010 monsoon floods, which brought the heaviest rainfall in 80 years. Over 18 million people were affected, villages were submerged, and countless families were left without food or shelter.
Under the guidance of Maulana Abdul Sattar (DB), hundreds of volunteers came forward to deliver:
● Safe drinking water
● Food and ration supplies
● Emergency medical assistance
●
Temporary shelters and blankets
Since then, BWT has grown into one of Pakistan’s leading disaster response organizations, delivering aid across Pakistan and internationally to regions devastated by floods, earthquakes, droughts, and humanitarian emergencies.
Baitussalam Welfare Trust (BWT) in Earthquake Relief in Balochistan (2019)
When a devastating earthquake struck Balochistan in 2019, BWT’s emergency response teams were among the first to reach affected areas.
● Six ambulances with trained paramedics provided on-site medical assistance.
●
Shelter repair and home reconstruction programs helped
families rebuild their lives with dignity.
Every mission was guided by a single belief:
“No life is too small to save, and no distance too far to reach.”
Baitussalam Welfare Trust (BWT) in Tharparkar Drought
Since 2015, the people of Tharparkar have faced recurring droughts and water scarcity. Women were walking over 40 kilometers every day to fetch water, risking exhaustion and disease.
In 2019, BWT launched the Water Supply Project, a transformative initiative that continues to serve over 20 villages through:
● 20 water reservoirs providing clean, sustainable drinking water
● Pipeline networks connecting homes and community centers
● Water management systems ensuring long-term accessibility
Clean water has changed everything, children can attend school, women can earn livelihoods, and communities can thrive again.
